Scar Tissue: The Hidden Troublemaker

Join us on an journey into the world of scar tissue and its profound impact on the body. In this engaging three-part webinar series (1 hour each), we will explore the most common types of scars, their potential negative effects on physical and emotional health, and effective reflexology techniques to address them both on the feet and throughout the body.

Discover how scar tissue can disrupt the body's natural flow, cause pain, and limit mobility. Gain practical tools and extended knowledge to recognize and treat these often-overlooked troublemakers.

Can Scars Cause Pain in Unexpected Places?

Can an appendectomy cause issues in the right shoulder, neck, or sacroiliac (SI) joint?

Can a C-section lead to reflux, bladder problems, neck pain, or jaw discomfort?

Can gallbladder surgery scars result in lower back pain, knee pain, or sciatic nerve issues?

Can a hernia cause chronic small intestine problems, hip discomfort, or even affect breathing?

The answer to all these questions is yes. Scar tissue can impact every structure in the body.

It can disrupt alignment, affect nerve supply, impair vascular and lymphatic systems, and create chronic pain. In short, scar tissue consistently restricts free movement within the fascial network and hinders the natural flow throughout the body.

Scar Tissue: A Severe Blockage of Emotional Flow

Scar tissue is often deeply connected to trauma, shock, and unpleasant emotions, creating blockages not only in the physical body but also in the emotional and mental flow.

By working with scar tissue and releasing its built-in tension, we can often trigger significant emotional release and reestablish the natural flow of energy.

What Can We Do? Practical Approaches and Demonstrations

  • Ask clients about their scars and the stories behind them.

  • Work on scar reflexes on the feet, using them as a focal point to address the entire fascial network, ultimately targeting the symptomatic areas.

  • Apply gentle local massage directly on the scars using a delicate cream.

  • Encourage clients to perform regular self-massage on their scars at home for ongoing care and improvement.

Dorthe and Peter took a complicated subject like anatomy and made it very easy to understand as well as remember. They're phenonemal instructors that take necessary time with you as an individual to show you exactly where and how to work on your clients. This is easily one of the best reflexology classes I have taken.

- Chantal Magaruh - Nevada, USA -

Peter and Dorthe presented the most organized and professional training class I have ever attended in my adult life. As a 46-year-old veteran I have been through many classes from military training, to underwater welding, to different types of healing modalities. I was very impressed with the work Peter and Dorthe are doing. Thank you for the wealth of information I will be putting to valuable use. Cheers.

- Rigby Oughs - Boulder City, Nevada, USA -

Peter and Dorthe are internationally respected leaders in reflexology; both as practitioners and teachers. I encourage reflexologists everywhere to expand their theoretical horizons and integrate the hands-on techniques from this workshop in their daily practice. You and your clients will be happy with the results!

- Christine Issel - Sacramento, CA, USA -

Touchpoint is well-known around the world for a high professional standard in reflexology. I recommend their teachings, which can widen your practice with great benefit.

- Hanne Marquardt - Black Forest, Germany -

Thank you much, Peter and Dorthe. You are both magnificent, so well-rounded and empathic, both as stellar individuals and as an exceptionally integrative and professional team. I am grateful to study with you both, such leading-edge pioneers!
